We’ve actually been hearing about the device for awhile, the latest report coming in April. That leak suggested the device would come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 resolution display, 8.0 inches (~189 ppi pixel density), Android 4.1.2 and 3-megapixel camera. But today’s report differs in some key areas, perhaps hinting the company went back and made changes before officially unveiling the device.
The Tab 3 8.0 will come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage plus microSD support, 5-megapixel camera, 4450mAh battery and Android 4.2.2. The device itself will be 209.3 x 122.2 x 6.95 mm, and also come with Bluetooth 4.0 and HSPA+ support.
The device is expected to hit at the end of June, so we’re still a ways off. But it appears the tab is further taking shape, and will fit right beside the company’s Galaxy Note 8.0 .
