With the mobile world becoming more diverse all the time and devices being able to perform a multitude of tasks, it's no surprise that syncing with a PC has become a must. Nokia's Zune software not only enables you to organise your music and upload it to your phone, it also allows you to purchase music and videos, giving you access to some great content.
Updating your music and video files can all be done wirelessly with the Nokia Lumia 800, a real bonus if you don't want to search for cables every time you want some new tunes on your device, and we've put together a guide on how to do it.
Before you start, make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft's Zune software installed on your PC.
(Note - The first time you set this up, you'll need your sync cable, but after this it will all be wire-free, so don't panic)
- Grab your Nokia Lumia 800
- Ensure that it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC/Mac
- Plug your Nokia Lumia 800 into your computer and start Zune
- Once Zune is open, click on the ‘view sync options'
- Choose ‘Setup Wireless Sync'
- Zune will now show you which wireless network your device is connected to - make sure it's the same one as your computer
- Tap ‘Next'
And you're done!
Now your Lumia 800 will wirelessly sync when it's plugged in to charge and is in range of the wireless network you've specified, or you can go back into the menu and manually prompt it to wirelessly sync.
